Kandt House Museum of Natural History
This museum is located in the former residence of German colonialist Richard Kandt and offers an educational journey through Rwanda’s natural and historical heritage. It includes exhibits on geology, wildlife and the colonial era as well as displays on Kigali’s transformation into a modern city. The back section includes live reptiles like snakes and crocodiles, giving an engaging twist to the historical content. The museum also offers one of the best views of the city from its hillside location.
